About the position

This position is responsible for providing support to the Enterprise Risk Management Team at CHG Healthcare. The Risk Management Assistant will assist all members of the ERM team with various tasks related to issuing malpractice verifications, certificates of insurance, patient compensation fund enrollments, document management, and claim handling. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the invoicing process and addressing accounting questions that may arise. Additionally, the assistant will coordinate all monthly and quarterly reports and execute special projects as needed. Acting as a liaison, the Risk Management Assistant will facilitate communication between internal sales consultants, internal support departments, external insurance brokers, external providers, external clients, and outside counsel. This position requires both proactive and reactive engagement to facilitate various risk management-related processes effectively. The responsibilities of the Risk Management Assistant include assisting in handling certificate of insurance (COI) requests and projects, managing patient compensation fund (PCF) enrollment requests, and processing malpractice verifications and claims history requests. The assistant will also maintain all insurance policies and related documents, support the insurance renewal process, and assist the malpractice claims team. Tracking figures and preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports is also a key responsibility. Furthermore, the assistant will provide administrative support to the entire Enterprise Risk Management Team, which includes organizing, maintaining, and tracking documents and project deadlines. The role also involves creating, drafting, editing, and proofreading business presentations or internal training documents, as well as processing all invoices for the ERM team and acting as the primary point of contact for billing issues or inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in handling the certificate of insurance (COI) requests and/or projects as directed.
  • Assist in handling the patient compensation fund (PCF) enrollment requests and/or projects as directed.
  • Assist in handling malpractice verifications and/or claims history requests as directed.
  • Assist with maintaining all insurance policies and related documents.
  • Support the insurance renewal process.
  • Support the malpractice claims team.
  • Track figures and prepare monthly, quarterly, and/or yearly reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the entire Enterprise Risk Management Team including organizing, maintaining, and tracking documents and project deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, especially phone skills.
  • Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications including Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to learn processes and implement improvements.
  • General clerical and administrative skills.
  • Experience working in a professional office environment.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent professional experience.
