About the position

The Risk Management Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the risk management initiatives at Acadiana Treatment Center. This part-time position involves tracking various risk projects, managing departmental records, and assisting with training activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The assistant will also be responsible for preparing materials for meetings and documenting minutes, contributing to the overall safety and quality of care within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Track Risk projects as assigned throughout the facility, including quality council, policies and procedures, safety committee, departmental monitors, and board monitors.
• Prepare and distribute materials prior to meetings and record the minutes.
• Manage department records effectively.
• Assist with coordinating and training activities for facility staff to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Assist with the coordination of Risk Management programs as requested.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree within a clinical healthcare field such as nursing or counseling preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility regulations.
