About the position

The Risk Management Assistant at Acadiana Treatment Center plays a crucial role in supporting risk management initiatives within the facility. This part-time position involves tracking various risk projects, managing departmental records, and assisting with training activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The role requires effective communication and organizational skills to compile materials for meetings and document minutes accurately.

Responsibilities

• Track Risk projects as assigned throughout the facility, including quality council, policies and procedures, safety committee, departmental monitors, and board monitors.
• Compile and distribute materials prior to meetings and record the minutes.
• Manage department records effectively.
• Assist with coordinating and training activities for facility staff to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Assist with the coordination of Risk Management programs as requested.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree within a clinical healthcare field such as nursing or counseling preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
