About the position

Acrisure is seeking a Risk Management Consultant to join our Risk Management Services team, dedicated to providing consultation, service, and strategy to clients across the USA. This role is pivotal in establishing credibility and developing sustainable relationships with senior-level client personnel, positioning the consultant as a trusted advisor to clients, Acrisure leadership, and peers. The consultant will collaborate with client executives and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for risk management consultation, focusing on risk reduction and mitigation through traditional insurance, alternative risk transfer, loss control strategies, and claims management programs. In this client-facing role, the consultant will proactively engage with clients regarding their business performance, identify problem areas, and explore potential engagement points. Facilitating goal setting with assigned clients is essential to understand their business goals, measure success, and track progress. The consultant will also act as a conduit to facilitate opportunities to other internal departments, enhancing client relationships with insurance carrier partners by coordinating meetings and activities that maximize product awareness and service delivery. The essential duties include advocating for Acrisure's clients to ensure exceptional risk management service, conducting on-site risk assessments, providing hazard assessment solutions, and developing tailored service plans. The consultant will conduct educational training workshops, seminars, and webinars, develop policies and procedures to reduce loss frequency and severity, and monitor loss trends to provide analysis to clients. Additionally, the consultant will advise clients on loss prevention, safety, and risk factors, integrating risk control best practices into daily operations to improve quality, productivity, and customer service. This role also involves assisting clients in creating or modifying risk management controls and policies, maximizing Acrisure's consultative services, and delivering operational best practices from a risk management perspective across various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Establish credibility by developing sustainable relationships with senior-level client personnel.

  • Act as a liaison for loss prevention services provided by carriers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-5 years of risk management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as risk management or insurance preferred.
  • Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive performance.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following industries: healthcare, non-profit, real estate, construction, temporary staffing, captive insurance, and manufacturing.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and report writing skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of effective loss prevention programs.
  • Ability to read and interpret OSHA, FMCSA, NFPA, and other regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial data, loss runs, and statistical data.
  • High level of self-initiative and ability to balance multiple projects.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable automobile.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel when necessary.

Nice-to-haves

  • OSHA 500 & 501 certifications preferred.
