About the position

As a Credit Officer in Portfolio Management at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a crucial role in Risk Management and Compliance. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage risks associated with commercial real estate finance, ensuring the firm operates responsibly while anticipating new and emerging risks. You will conduct thorough reviews of properties and borrowers to derive appropriate risk ratings and evaluate their expected future performance.

Responsibilities

  • Complete annual reviews on properties and borrowers to derive appropriate risk ratings.
  • Review annual property operating statements, rent rolls, and local market conditions to determine overall property performance and identify potential risk of default.
  • Document and support concluded risk ratings.
  • Interact with Borrowers, Credit Executives, and other parties to obtain applicable data for a complete analysis.
  • Present credits to senior management on a quarterly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of working experience with commercial and multifamily loans.
  • Previous experience in portfolio management, loan risk grading/risk assessment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft desktop tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to quickly acclimate to proprietary systems.
