About the position

As a Vice President in the Risk Management - Document Governance division at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a critical role in establishing governance frameworks and managing policy, standard, and procedure documentation. Your expertise will help the firm navigate emerging risks while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to promote governance and support the firm's business strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a large portfolio of governance documents globally and drive RMCDGs strategic initiatives.
  • Gather and critically analyze diverse collections of qualitative and quantitative data; review laws, rules, and regulations, and edit content with subject matter experts.
  • Lead regular status updates and liaise with RM&C stakeholders to manage adherence to the firm's document governance framework.
  • Deliver status updates, establish strong escalation protocols, and drive governance document requirements.
  • Develop clear and compelling communication materials for senior-level RM&C status updates and forums.
  • Draft strong written content for policy and standard documents, business requirements, technical specifications, and internal/external communications.
  • Partner with RM&C stakeholders and other Lines of Business and Corporate Functions to manage relationships and deliver a consistent stakeholder experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Risk, Compliance, Legal, or similar regulatory-facing function.
  • Prior experience in governance/reporting roles, framework/policy development, strategy, editing, and drafting.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with large, complex subject matter topics.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with varied stakeholders and audiences.
  • Highly adaptable interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., American/Canadian Juris Doctor degree, or UK Bachelor of Laws (LLB)).
  • Experience with data analytics/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx).
