About the position

The Risk Management Executive I at Bank of America is responsible for providing comprehensive risk oversight and guidance to the Lines of Business (LOB). This role involves establishing risk management policies, controls, and metrics while ensuring adherence to corporate standards. The executive will conduct risk framework activities, monitor controls, and oversee governance structures, all while collaborating with senior management and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Enterprise Issue Portfolio Analyses across the Enterprise Portfolio to identify common trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Act as subject matter advisor to senior management across the Company within the remit of EIM.
  • Report and escalate to senior management on patterns and trends related to the Enterprise Issue Portfolio.
  • Partner with colleagues to develop a deep understanding of issues, root causes, and events that may lead to Company-wide issues.
  • Maintain and develop process level procedures and guidelines to ensure appropriate governance over Enterprise Issue Analyses.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry with extensive knowledge of Financial Services products and services.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to engage and communicate at the executive level.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and challenge the status quo.
  • Proven ability to manage portfolios of high-quality deliverables according to strict timetables.
  • Significant business knowledge of risk management and regulatory interactions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive desired outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong horizontal and vertical leadership skills in a matrixed environment.
