About the position

The Risk Management HC Professional 2 at UCI Health is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and analytical functions related to the Medical Center's Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance programs. This role includes managing the University's self-insurance program, handling legal subpoenas, and serving as a liaison to law enforcement and public investigatory agencies. The position also supports the Director and Regulatory Compliance Programs Manager in coordinating accreditation and regulatory site surveys.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform administrative and analytical functions related to Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance programs.
• Administer the University's self-insurance program and manage the Legal Subpoena process.
• Serve as a liaison to local law enforcement, District Attorney's Office, and other public investigatory agencies.
• Support the Director and Regulatory Compliance Programs Manager in coordinating accreditation and regulatory site surveys.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in risk management or regulatory compliance.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage diverse workloads within assigned timeframes.
• Strong analytical skills to comprehend complex system reports and analyze data into actionable forms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• High degree of professionalism to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Excellent PC skills to design and maintain custom databases, produce reports, and manipulate data.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of laws regarding the subpoena process.
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
