About the position

The Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to oversee the District's Risk Management program. This role involves planning, implementing, organizing, and directing activities related to risk and loss control, injury and illness prevention, property and casualty management, and loss recovery. The specialist will also train and coordinate the work of assigned personnel under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, organize, and direct the activities and operations of the District's Risk Management program.
  • Manage risk and loss control initiatives.
  • Oversee injury and illness prevention programs.
  • Handle property and casualty management.
  • Coordinate loss recovery efforts.
  • Train and supervise assigned personnel.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in management, benefits, and/or risk management.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • Professional designations such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) preferred.
  • A valid California driver's license and availability of private transportation.
