About the position

The WORLD Internship Program is a 10-week initiative designed to cultivate a pool of talented professionals who can join World Insurance Associates after graduation. Interns will gain insights into the insurance industry, including distribution models for insurance products, and will be placed in various departments such as Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, Surety, Placement, and Claims. The program emphasizes hands-on experience, professional development, and networking opportunities within a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the team to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Learn how World helps clients improve financial performance while managing risk exposure.
  • Build a foundation for a career in the stable insurance industry.
  • Develop valuable skills and establish a professional network.
  • Support the development of positive relationships with clients and teammates through excellent service and communication.
  • Create and present business proposals, understand risk management, and develop time management strategies.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a business program at an accredited university or college, graduating in May 2026 or December 2025.
  • Prior customer support experience preferred.
  • Strong organization, administrative, and computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with team members.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduates and students enrolled in Insurance and Risk Management programs are strongly preferred.
