About the position

The Risk Operations Coordinator at U.S. Xpress Enterprises, Inc. is responsible for managing and processing information related to various claims, including accidents, liability, and workers' compensation. This role involves collecting, entering, and reviewing data in the Risk Management System to generate reports and mitigate impacts on the organization. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure accurate claim processing and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, enter, and review information into the Risk Management System for generating claims reports.
• Review Digital Video Recorder media to gather additional information regarding events.
• Coordinate with internal and external areas to retrieve hardware for accessing digital media.
• Conduct claim information reviews to enhance the accuracy of individual examiners.
• Facilitate the reconciliation of yard checks through interdepartmental coordination.
• Use standard interview questions to collect detailed accident descriptions from callers.
• Evaluate information from drivers involved in accidents to determine the need for D.O.T. required testing.
• Dispatch third-party vendors for required breath alcohol and drug testing after accidents.
• Monitor claim accident email chains for updates and further involvement needed.
• Refer claims to appropriate internal departments such as Cargo, Safety, and Operations.
• Assist USX drivers in locating insured doctors and clinics for injuries sustained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of customer service experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of US geography.
