About the position

The Director - Portfolio Analysis is a hybrid role responsible for leading a new team of analysts in the development and execution of the Bank's Portfolio Analysis program. This position focuses on conducting forward-looking portfolio analytics and sensitivity analysis to assess the impacts of internal and external factors on portfolios, products, or business lines. The Director collaborates with management to establish analytical priorities and ensures the effective execution of day-to-day activities while managing the growth of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Establish analytical priorities in collaboration with management.
  • Lead the team in delivering current and long-term analytical priorities.
  • Execute day-to-day activities including portfolio analytics and sensitivity analysis.
  • Support responses to audit and regulatory examinations for Portfolio Analysis activities.
  • Manage analytical relationships with business and credit risk functions.
  • Define structure and format of analyses and ensure effective execution by the team.
  • Ensure completion of reconciliation of analyzed data to internal and external reporting.
  • Document, report, and present analysis results to management, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Oversee the growth and development of assigned resources.
  • Complete administrative managerial tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Risk Management or Analytics in Financial Services industry and management role OR High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Risk Management or Analytics in Financial Services industry and management role.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analytical software (SAS, SQL, Python, Netezza, Oracle, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience designing and executing analytical processes.
  • Expert skills in Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Credit Risk principles.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented organizational skills.

  • Experience in large financial institutions.
  • Prior Credit Risk Experience.
  • Prior experience leading a team.
