About the position

The Risk Portfolio Analysis Manager is a hybrid role responsible for leading a new team of analysts in the development and execution of the Bank's Portfolio Analysis program. This position involves conducting regular and ad hoc portfolio analytics and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of internal and external factors on portfolios, products, and business lines. The manager will work closely with management to establish analytical priorities and ensure the team's effective execution of these priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of analysts in the execution of the Bank's Portfolio Analysis program.
  • Establish analytical priorities in collaboration with management.
  • Deliver on current and long-term analytical priorities and execute day-to-day activities.
  • Conduct portfolio analytics, sensitivity analysis, and econometric analysis as needed.
  • Manage the analytical relationship with each business and the credit risk function.
  • Define the structure and format of analyses to be performed by the team.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of analyzed data sets and report findings to management.
  • Document and present results of assigned analyses, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Oversee the growth and development of team members.
  • Complete administrative managerial tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Risk Management or Analytics in the Financial Services industry, including a management role.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Risk Management or Analytics in the Financial Services industry, including a management role.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analytical software (SAS, SQL, Python, Netezza, Oracle, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience designing and executing analytical processes.
  • Expert skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of Credit Risk principles.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented organizational skills.

  • Experience in large financial institutions.
  • Prior Credit Risk experience.
  • Prior experience leading a team.
