About the position

The Risk & Security Compliance Specialist at Kohler Co. is a lead professional responsible for auditing and assessing the physical security of the company's facilities. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining standardized security policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to the C-TPAT program, and collaborating with various functions to secure the supply chain. The specialist will also oversee third-party security services and support global security initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and implement standardized physical security standards and operational policies enterprise-wide.
  • Assess and mitigate risk issues using a comprehensive security auditing program.
  • Analyze data to propose improvements, including new technology implementations.
  • Expand reporting mechanisms to track program benefits and corrective actions at each facility.
  • Oversee physical security processes at all facilities outside Kohler, Wisconsin.
  • Maintain and enforce written C-TPAT procedures and implement Customs security strategy.
  • Conduct C-TPAT Supply Chain risk assessments and keep current with changing requirements.
  • Provide defect and root cause analysis on C-TPAT processes and recommend enhancements.
  • Oversee third-party security services to ensure performance consistency across facilities.
  • Support Global Security initiative programs and implement required actions at each site.
  • Ensure facilities have current Emergency Action Plans and adhere to training schedules.
  • Participate in investigations of criminal, civil, or policy violations globally.
  • Prepare comprehensive and confidential security reports for Senior Executives and associates.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of security manager roles and perform their functions in their absence.
  • Communicate effectively at a supervisory level for public interaction and report writing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 3-5 years relevant leadership experience.
  • Experience with C-TPAT program is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervision and project management.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to solve problems in stressful situations in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently on projects.
  • Ability to work in and supervise a team environment, including 3rd party and remote teams.
  • Occasional travel required to Kohler sites, expect 20-25%.
