About the position

The Risk Solutions Consultant role at The Hanover Insurance Group is focused on providing technical evaluations and loss analysis for prospective and existing policyholders in the New England territory. This fully remote position emphasizes flexibility and the ability to work independently while collaborating with underwriting and agency partners to deliver effective service solutions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys on prospective and existing policyholders and write reports for underwriting.
• Perform loss analysis and develop meaningful service solutions.
• Create and follow up on essential recommendations for policyholders.
• Develop effective relationships with underwriting and agency partners to drive collaboration.
• Participate in underwriting pipeline, new business, and renewal meetings to provide insights on exposure and controls.
• Communicate ideas persuasively to build support and commitment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Risk Solutions/Loss Control field experience with a commercial lines national/regional insurance carrier.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field such as health and safety, science, engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong to exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Professional loss control certification preferred (CSP, CFPS, CIH, PE, CPCU, ARM).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
