About the position

The Risks and Controls Project Manager is an intermediate-level role focused on facilitating communication between business users and technologists. The position aims to enhance business performance through continuous exploration and investigation, ensuring effective risk management and control initiatives are implemented and monitored. The role involves proactive control testing, risk assessment, and collaboration with various teams to uphold compliance with policies and standards.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between business users and technologists to exchange information clearly and logically.
• Track open Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) daily and identify risks and gaps in controls within applications.
• Work with business managers to implement and monitor key risk and control initiatives.
• Conduct regular control testing to identify and remediate process gaps.
• Provide risk and control support to Technology and Business Leads.
• Develop and maintain relationships across divisions and support services.
• Monitor and manage issues impacting the IDP Group.
• Execute risk-based audit strategies, defining audit scope and drafting reports using automation.
• Assess impacts to business processes and provide recommendations on severity ratings.
• Collaborate with corporate LODs to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
• Support the execution of external audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 5+ years of overall experience in Project Management.
• 3+ years of expertise in control-related functions within the Financial Services sector.
• Background in Data Fabric and Risk and Controls is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and ability to understand multiple functional areas.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in navigating complex, highly matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with automation and innovative methods in audit processes.
