About the position

The Reservation Clerk is responsible for managing incoming telephone calls for hotel reservations, providing guests with information about room availability, property amenities, and special packages. The role emphasizes superior guest service and accurate processing of reservations and group bookings, ensuring a seamless experience for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes all incoming telephone calls for hotel reservations.
  • Explains room availability, property amenities, and special packages to guests.
  • Ensures superior guest service is provided to all customers.
  • Accurately processes information for group accounts and bookings.
  • Inputs all booking and reservation information into the computer system.
  • Answers and addresses guest concerns and questions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to meet company's production and quality standards.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol is essential.
  • Computer literate with the ability to type at least 25 wpm.
  • Ability to learn new software applications related to hotel and casino systems.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
  • One to two years of reservations or guest service experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a hotel or casino environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMS casino system, IGT Slot system, and LMS hotel system.
