The Supply Chain Manager will lead and supervise the daily activities of the purchasing department and warehouse, while building and maintaining strong relations with key and critical suppliers and contractors. This critical position drives excellence within the purchasing department, ensuring that the organization has access to the necessary materials and inputs required to operate efficiently. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading, evaluating, developing, and directing a team of purchasing professionals. This role is essential to ensure that all materials and goods are ordered and delivered on-time, in the most cost-effective manner possible. The manager will create, manage, and approve purchase orders per materials planning requirements, monitor exceptions, and assure an uninterrupted flow of materials that support the production plan. Additionally, the manager will oversee the maintenance of inventory control systems, interpret inventory requests, production schedules, and coordinate materials ordering activities with the organization's current and anticipated demand for goods and materials. A continuous improvement culture will be developed and implemented through both internal and external key performance indicator (KPI) benchmarking with other RBA business units. The Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining both direct and indirect materials ordering procedures to optimize resources, provide scalable solutions, and ensure timeliness, reliability, and safety standards for the organization. This role includes overseeing stockroom and material handling functions, assuring inventory accuracy through accurate cycle counts, and establishing working relationships with functional and operational area supervisors to meet their current and future demand for materials. The manager will work closely with Planning and Materials teams to achieve organizational goals and serve as the business unit resource for Strategic Sourcing in developing bid packages and project implementations related to strategic improvement initiatives. Finally, the manager will sustain the Quality Management System with required departmental standards and perform other duties as required by management to meet the needs of the company and its members.
