About the position

The Travel Camp Nurse will provide medical care and support to elementary and middle school students during a 3-day, 2-night camping trip. This role involves administering medications, monitoring health conditions, and responding to emergencies while ensuring the safety and well-being of students during the trip.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care and first aid to elementary school children as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed by a physician.
• Monitor health conditions and respond to any health-related emergencies during the trip.
• Be available for possible on-call duties at night if necessary.

Requirements

• Valid RN License
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• At least 1 year of experience working as a school nurse or with youth
• PETS Clearance by the Department of Education (DOE)
