About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Baptist Health involves the general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel activities during shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, care planning, and interventions, collaborating with physicians and healthcare clinicians to implement effective patient care strategies.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel on shift.
- Ensure quality and continuity of patient care during shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, planning, and care interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in patient care planning and implementation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- Active RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required.
- Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending on the area assigned.
- Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
