About the position
The RN Admissions position at AuthoraCare Collective is a full-time role focused on providing hospice care to patients and their families. The RN will explain hospice services, assist with consent documentation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop patient-centered care plans. This role requires a compassionate approach to support terminally ill patients and their families, ensuring dignity and respect throughout the care process.
Responsibilities
- Explain hospice services to patients and families and assist with signing consent documents.
- Coordinate, collaborate, and develop a plan of care with patients, significant others, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Assess, plan, implement, document, organize, prioritize, teach, delegate, supervise, and coordinate care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Provide care and support to terminally ill patients and their families.
- Perform other nursing duties as requested.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina and in good standing with NCBON.
- One year of experience in an acute, hospice, home health, or long-term care setting.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is a plus.
- Valid state-issued driver's license required.
- Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by the agency.
- Must have own transportation.
Nice-to-haves
- Two years of experience in a relevant setting is a plus.
