About the position
The Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) at Tidewell Hospice is a compassionate and dedicated professional responsible for assessing patient eligibility for the Empath Health Network of Care. This role involves advocating for optimal access to care, completing the admission process based on specific guidelines, and ensuring that patient needs are met effectively. The Admissions RN is a first responder who engages in mission support and excels in customer service and relationship-building.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient eligibility for Empath Health Network of Care.
- Complete the admission process based on care program specifics and patient needs.
- Advocate for optimal access to care in various settings.
- Engage in mission support and demonstrate excellence in customer service.
- Build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Minimum of six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Florida license as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid Florida State Driver's License.
- Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Reliable transportation for field-based tasks with proof of valid automobile insurance.
