About the position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Adult/Pediatric Med Surg Team at Winchester Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, personalized care to patients. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for delivering direct patient care in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, as well as the scope of practice for Registered Nurses in Massachusetts. This position requires you to complete thorough assessments, perform necessary treatments, and administer appropriate drug therapies. You will also be tasked with observing patients' progress, recording their responses and reactions to interventions, and evaluating the effectiveness of therapies to ensure optimal clinical outcomes. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with patients, their families, and all members of the healthcare team to achieve the expected outcomes. Your responsibilities will include developing an optimal healthcare strategy plan in conjunction with physicians and other medical professionals, as well as supporting and educating patients and their loved ones to help them achieve maximum health outcomes. This position is part-time, requiring two 12-hour shifts or three 8-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday rotation. Responsibilities

  • Complete assessments and administer medications/treatments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Work experience in unit-specific specialty preferred.
  • Previous experience in Med Surg or Pediatrics required.
