About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Antepartum position at Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital involves providing direct nursing care to expectant families in a supportive and advanced healthcare environment. The role focuses on monitoring and evaluating patient care plans, administering medications, and educating patients and their families, all while working in a state-of-the-art Family Maternity Center that prioritizes patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the antepartum unit.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions effectively.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per physician orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs and educate patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration for military RN experience.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
