About the position
Archstone Behavioral Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential nursing services to patients suffering from mental health and substance misuse disorders. The role involves direct patient care, including intake assessments, vital sign monitoring, medication management, and health education, ensuring a supportive environment for recovery.
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing intake and assessment.
- Monitor patient's vital signs as ordered or per protocol.
- Maintain medication cart in order and locked at all times.
- Dispense medications as ordered.
- Monitor and document all medication activity.
- Keep medication administration record (MAR) up to date.
- Complete incident report for any unusual or adverse event including medication errors and medication reactions.
- Assist with additional tasks as requested by Leadership.
Requirements
- Nursing degree from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 2-4 years' experience as a nurse in a behavioral & substance abuse, or mental health setting.
- Valid RN/LPN license.
- CPR certification - must have at the time of hire.
