The Cath Lab RN plays a crucial role in the cardiac catheterization lab, primarily responsible for performing procedures using heart catheterization tools to diagnose and treat heart conditions. This position involves assisting physicians with the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, as well as supporting various catheterization procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements. The role requires a blend of technical skills and the ability to adapt to different healthcare environments as a travel nurse.
Responsibilities
- Perform procedures using heart catheterization tools to diagnose heart conditions.
- Assist physicians with the implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators.
- Support various catheterization procedures including angioplasties and stent placements.
- Adapt to new environments and team dynamics as a travel nurse.
- Provide high-quality patient care in diverse settings.
Requirements
- BLS certification
- State RN license
- Experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Core Mandatory Part I, II, and III exams
- Skills in preventing medication errors
- Knowledge of RN pharmacology
- Color vision mandatory exam
