About the position

The Endoscopy Clinical Nurse Manager at Memorial Hermann Southeast is responsible for leading the department, overseeing daily operations, managing and developing staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. This role emphasizes the importance of safety, compassion, and efficiency in delivering exceptional experiences to patients and staff alike.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Endoscopy department, including staffing and scheduling.
• Collaborate with physicians and management to address strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
• Participate in ongoing evaluation of programs and process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.
• Ensure the highest level of service and optimize the patient experience throughout the continuum of care.
• Recruit, retain, and develop departmental staff, providing performance feedback and conducting performance reviews.
• Adhere to policies and standards while managing budgetary specifications, including time and supply management.
• Promote professional growth and development through education and skills competency requirements.
• Serve as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff, fostering a supportive work environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing required.
• Current State of Texas nursing license or temporary/compact license.
• Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Three or more years of experience in a clinical area of practice.
• Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory or management role.

Nice-to-haves

• MSN preferred.
• Endoscopy leadership experience preferred.
• Professional certification in clinical area or management preferred.
