About the position

Brookdale Rosehill is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinical services department. This role involves managing a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality care for residents, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans. The Clinical Nurse Manager will also participate in policy development, staff evaluations, and maintain compliance with regulations, all while fostering a culture of compassionate care.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the clinical services department.
  • Assess the needs of residents and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Work with interdisciplinary team members to develop discharge plans for residents.
  • Conduct resident rounds to supervise nursing care and ensure a safe environment.
  • Participate in developing and maintaining policies and procedures for clinical services operations.
  • Assist in associate evaluations and disciplinary actions as required.
  • Ensure proper transition of nursing reports during shift changes.
  • Complete follow-up investigations related to medication errors and provide necessary education.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas and monitor supplies.
  • Follow up on pharmacy recommendations and ensure implementation of order changes.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in continuing education programs.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification in good standing.
  • 1-3 years of nursing service administration experience.
  • 1 year of nurse management experience preferred.
  • Experience in rehabilitation or geriatric nursing preferred.
  • Wound care experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • BLS Certification
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities.
