About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Northwest Health - La Porte is a full-time role focused on providing direct and indirect patient care in a therapeutic manner. Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in a therapeutic manner.
• Assume responsibility and accountability for individual nursing practice.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure optimum patient care.
• Comply with hospital policies and the State of Indiana Nurse Practice Act.
• Render care according to skills, abilities, and competencies to the patient population.
• Participate in on-call status as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Cardiac Care.
• At least 2 years' experience in a relevant nursing role preferred.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana or application for Indiana licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification may be obtained within the first six months of employment.
• Basic ECG interpretation course completed or successfully tested out.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience in ER, Cath Lab, IMCU, ICU or CVICU hospital settings within the last two years.
