About the position

The RN Data Coordinator is responsible for researching and collecting data related to bone marrow transplants at the Stephenson Cancer Center. This role involves submitting accurate data to the International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry and the National Marrow Donor Program, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain data integrity and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Research and collect required data points for patients related to bone marrow transplants.
  • Submit accurate data to the International Bone Marrow Transplant Registry (IBMTR) and National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) in a timely manner.
  • Work with NMDP to resolve discrepancies in data submissions.
  • Partner with the BMT Quality Coordinator to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Communicate with the Administrative Director regarding patient data concerns and report progress toward quarterly data goals.
  • Assist with compliance to all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in activities related to FACT accreditation as directed by the Administrative Director and/or Quality Coordinator.

Requirements

  • College or technical training in a healthcare or research related field.
  • Research or data coordination experience in a hospital with knowledge of cancer care treatments and diagnoses.
  • Current licensure in the State of Oklahoma as a Registered Nurse.

Nice-to-haves

  • Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) or other related certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulations.
