About The Position
The RN Director of Emergency-Trauma is responsible for overseeing the 24-hour day-to-day operations and management of all assigned clinical areas within the emergency and trauma departments. This role includes the supervision and leadership of management and staff personnel, as well as the management of fiscal and material resources. The Director ensures that all areas of responsibility comply with State and Federal regulations, including Title 22 and other regulatory requirements. This position functions as a vital liaison between administration, patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization. In addition to operational management, the RN Director assists Senior Leadership in the development and implementation of new programs and projects. This includes preparing budgets, defining project specifications, making capital investment decisions, and developing pricing and marketing strategies. The Director is expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, effectively manage staff, and drive positive change within the department. The role requires a deep understanding of trauma and emergency medicine, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical management or administration, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. They should have a comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations, effective communication skills, and the ability to analyze systems and processes to improve operational efficiency. The RN Director will also be responsible for sustaining and evaluating clinical competence for the specific age and type of patient population served, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.
