About the position

The Director of Nursing (DON) at Lewis and Clark Gardens is responsible for overseeing the nursing department's operations, ensuring high-quality resident care in compliance with state and federal regulations. This role involves direct interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, as well as managing nursing staff and coordinating care plans.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations of the Nursing Department to maintain high-quality resident care.
• Interact with patients, family members, and physicians.
• Manage residents' data and medical records.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the coordination of the nursing department with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Oversee an ongoing Quality Improvement Program for the nursing department.

Requirements

• Valid RN License in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Familiarity with State and Federal Regulations for Long Term Care.
• Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in nursing management and supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the long-term care industry is preferred.
• 1 year of supervising experience is preferred.
• 1 year of experience as a Director of Nursing is preferred.
