About the position
The RN Director of Nursing at Northwestern Healthcare Center is responsible for leading the nursing team and overseeing clinical services and programs for residents. The Director will supervise nursing staff and manage day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring compliance with nursing practices and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate clinical services and programs for residents.
- Supervise nursing staff as the nurse manager.
- Manage day-to-day clinical operations of the nursing department.
- Communicate effectively with employees and families regarding their concerns and issues.
- Ensure compliance with nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration.
Requirements
- Current RN license
- 5 years of clinical management experience, preferably in a long-term care environment
- Prior Director of Nursing (DON) experience is highly preferred
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain CPR certification
