About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Telemetry Discharge Lounge at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center® involves providing high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry step-down patients. The role emphasizes collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction, while also advocating for patients and their families. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cardiology and dedicated to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
- Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
