In this role, the Education Specialist will support preceptors in creating orientation programs for new staff, ensuring that they are well-prepared to meet the demands of their positions. The responsibilities extend to overseeing staff orientation and ongoing professional development, demonstrating conflict resolution skills, and fostering a culture of consensus-building within the organization. The Education Specialist will also represent Case Management and Social Work at organizational committee meetings, serving as a liaison with executive leadership and various continuum of care providers, including skilled nursing facilities and public agencies. The position requires a deep understanding of laws, policies, and operational procedures relevant to healthcare, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Education Specialist will assist in developing policies and standards of care, monitor adherence to these standards, and demonstrate advanced knowledge of regulations from agencies such as CMS, DOH, OMH, and OPWDD. This role is also responsible for evaluating educational outcomes and linking them to quality processes and patient care outcomes, thereby ensuring that nursing practices are aligned with the highest standards of care.
