About the position

The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital South, which is a Level II Trauma center. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with ED physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in triage and manage patient flow in the department.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Assist in the education and training of new staff and nursing students.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license within the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking required during shifts.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Advanced certifications in emergency nursing or trauma care.
