About the position

The RN position in the Emergency Department at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center involves providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This part-time, PRN role requires the nurse to manage and deliver patient care using the nursing process, while also adhering to safety protocols and competencies specific to the population served. The role includes responsibilities such as assessment, care planning, intervention implementation, and evaluation, along with supervising and mentoring other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Conduct assessments and re-assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement plans of care for patients.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care interventions.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to non-licensed personnel and students.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.
• Participate in on-call status as required.
• Float to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Oklahoma or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
• Two years of previous LPN or one year of previous RN experience required.
• Completion of the professional nurse orientation program and assigned unit orientation.
• Current BLS certification upon hire or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstration of core competencies within 90 days and completion of unit specific competencies within 12 months.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Nice-to-haves

• ACLS certification must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• PALS certification must be completed within 12 months of hire.
