About the position
The RN Emergency Department position at Mark Twain Medical Center involves providing high-quality emergency care in a critical access hospital setting. This travel nursing contract role requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to patient care, with a focus on adaptability to various shifts and a strong background in emergency nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in the Emergency Room (ER).
- Adapt to various shifts including 7a-7p, 0a-9p, 12p-12a, and 7p-7a as needed.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 depending on acuity.
- Float to different areas as required by the unit.
- Work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of ER nursing experience.
- Prior travel nursing experience.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
Nice-to-haves
- BSN preferred but not required.
- Experience with Meditech charting system.
