About the position

Evolve Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their Emergency Unit (ER) team in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a critical care setting, with a focus on both pediatric and adult emergency care. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care in the Emergency Room setting.
• Float to Pediatric ER as required.
• Perform basic EKG interpretation and other critical care assessments.
• Collaborate with triage nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Manage a diverse range of cases from minor injuries to critically ill patients.
• Participate in educational meetings with the ER educator to complete required training.
• Work every other weekend and 2 out of every 3 holidays.

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
• 3 years of ER RN experience
• Experience with Cerner EMR for at least 1 year
• Travel nursing experience is a must.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Pediatric ER preferred
• CPEN certification preferred
• ENPC certification preferred
