About the position
The RN Emergency Room position at Medical City McKinney involves providing holistic, individualized patient care in response to emergent needs. Responsibilities
- Quickly assess and prioritize incoming patients.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and stabilize patients.
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice.
- Provide patient education and follow-up care instructions.
- Make necessary referrals.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year RN ER experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or compact license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Satori Alternatives Management of Aggression must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
