About the position

The Staff Nurse position at Mark Twain Medical Center involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages in an emergency setting. The role includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic care, while also managing patient care administered by other nursing staff. The nurse will assume responsibility for total patient care and may relieve charge nurse duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Treat and care for patients of all ages.

Requirements

• Current California RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, & PALS certification.
• Six months or more of experience in acute care required.
• Ability to work in spite of frequent interruptions.
• Ability to read work products, computer screens, and printouts.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
• High level of concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a team, prioritize work, and make decisions regarding patient care.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
