About the position
The RN - Endoscopy PRN position at Jackson Purchase Medical Center involves providing direct patient care using the nursing process, ensuring adherence to applicable standards of practice. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration and specimen collection.
- Document patient care given and monitor patient conditions.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and nutrition.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers and discharges.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and provide appropriate education.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing required.
- Current RN license in the state of KY.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
