Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration and specimen collection.
  • Document patient care given and monitor patient conditions.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and nutrition.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers and discharges.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and provide appropriate education.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nursing required.
  • Current RN license in the state of KY.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
