About the position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate endoscopy registered nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an endoscopy RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including preprocedure assessments and education.
• Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures such as upper GI endoscopy (EGD), colonoscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy, and more.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide sedation management as necessary.
• Ensure proper setup and maintenance of endoscopic equipment and instruments.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control policies.
• Provide post-procedure care and education to patients and their families.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in endoscopy, perioperative, or critical care.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient education skills.
