About the position

The Registered Nurse in Endoscopy at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana is responsible for providing safe and effective patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This full-time position involves working four 8-hour shifts with a call rotation, focusing on specialized procedures in a unit equipped with 13 procedure rooms. The role includes opportunities for charge nurse responsibilities and requires expertise in various endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective patient care under the direction of clinical management.
• Float between procedure and pre/post areas as needed.
• Assist in both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Develop expertise in specific patient populations and nursing diagnoses.
• Complete Charge Nurse Orientation and Competency when assigned charge duties.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR certification within 7 days of hire.
• Previous RN experience.
• Completion of a nursing program diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with special procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EBUS, and others.
• Familiarity with GI/Pulm stents and hydrogen breath tests.
