About the position
The RN position in the Emergency Department at Moberly Regional Medical Center is a full-time role focused on providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to evaluate patients, implement nursing care plans, assist physicians, and promote patient independence through education and support. This position is critical in ensuring effective patient management and requires a dedicated and flexible individual who can adapt to the dynamic needs of the emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans nursing care accordingly.
- Implements and documents nursing care for patients.
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Requirements
- An associate's degree in Nursing and certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Valid RN License in Missouri is required.
- PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications are required.
Nice-to-haves
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (C-CPI) certification is preferred.
