About the position

The RN position in the Family Birth Center at Presbyterian Healthcare Services involves providing direct patient care in a labor and delivery setting. The role requires utilizing the nursing process to prioritize and deliver care to patients, including antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The RN will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for patients, particularly those with high-risk pregnancies or fetal loss.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care during shifts.
• Prioritize the delivery of nursing care using time and resources efficiently.
• Collaborate with RNs, OR Techs, OB Providers, and Anesthesia teams.
• Care for patients in antepartum, labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Provide care for high-risk OB patients and those experiencing fetal loss.

Requirements

• Valid RN License in New Mexico.
• BLS Certification required at time of hire.
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Certification in specialty areas related to obstetrics.
