About the position
As a Registered Nurse Float at Baylor Health, you play a crucial role in coordinating patient care, assessing needs, and planning personalized care strategies. Your responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, delegating tasks, and making recommendations that enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Focus on patient and family needs.
- Develop and adjust nursing care plans for desired outcomes.
- Create a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Assist with emotional and physical pain to aid healing.
- Incorporate diverse perspectives and requirements of patients into care plans.
- Educate patients, families, staff, and the community continuously.
- Evaluate and record learning progress.
- Collaborate with team and community to implement care plans and delegate tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program or have two years of relevant work experience.
- Two years of hands-on experience in nursing is required.
- Must be a registered nurse.
- Basic life support certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting.

- Thorough knowledge of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, rules, and regulations for nursing care certifications and accreditations.
- Understanding of health promotion, risk reduction, illness and disease prevention, and management.
- Effective communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Good grasp of general computer skills.
