About the position

Cottagewood is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a beautiful 17-acre campus. Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of every person who comes in contact with our organization. The RN will play a crucial role in promoting the health and safety of all residents through on-site visits and interactions with both residents and staff. This position requires a professional demeanor, a positive work attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. The RN will ensure that staff are trained in current medical procedures and policies, and that the facility complies with all relevant regulations and standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and is looking for a flexible work schedule with opportunities for advancement. The RN will be responsible for conducting regular assessments of residents' health and well-being, providing guidance and support to staff, and maintaining accurate records of care provided. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, with openings for three days per week and every other weekend. Employees can choose their preferred weekdays and have the option for flexible start and end times. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about caring for the elderly and want to make a meaningful impact in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the health and safety of all residents through on-site visits.
  • Ensure staff is trained in current medical procedures and policies.
  • Maintain compliance with current regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular health assessments of residents.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff regarding resident care.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided.

Requirements

  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse per state regulations.
  • Minimum of one year experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to self-start and follow through with initiatives with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using a resident record computerized system.
  • Experience working with seniors.
