About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Good Samaritan Society involves providing individualized nursing care to residents in a not-for-profit organization dedicated to quality care for seniors. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborating with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams. This role may also include serving as a charge nurse and delegating tasks to other personnel while ensuring safe and effective care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate competency in nursing practices and adhere to age-specific standards.
• Coordinate resident care, including assessment and education.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel and provide support for safe care delivery.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred).
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing (preferred).
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
