RN, Health Plan Nurse

About the position

The Health Plan Nurse at Park View Care Center serves as a vital liaison between residents and insurance companies, ensuring effective communication and support for patients' insurance needs. This full-time position offers a collaborative work environment with a focus on providing compassionate care to residents, while also allowing for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between the facility and patient's insurance company
• Issue notices of non-coverage
• Collaborate with Admissions staff, MDS, Unit Managers, Social Workers, corporate billing, and therapy IDT
• Document patient progress during TCU stay
• Participate in Medicare team meetings

Requirements

• RN or LPN license in the state of Minnesota required
• Minimum of 2+ years' experience preferably in LTC
• Experience with Medicare and patient's insurance preferred, will train the right candidate
• Proficient in computer software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented
